Participation in Mini Basketball Convention

Mini Basketball plays a crucial role in attracting youngsters, ages 5 to 12 years, to the sport of Basketball. Knowing the significance of this grass root level development in any sport, the St Kitts-Nevis Amateur Basketball Association (SKANABA) has selected Mr Eason Robert Pemberton, to participate in a Mini Basketball Convention that will be held over the period December 12th to 16th, 2019, in San Salvador, El Salvador.

The 4-day convention organized by the International Basketball Foundation (IBF) and the Federation Internationale de Basketball (FIBA) will focus on the following key objectives:

a) Promoting and stimulating playful grassroots basketball for both genders (in line with FIBA’s strategy).

b) Providing guidance and create revenue opportunities for Member National Federations and stakeholders like schools and clubs.

c) Provide participants with the necessary tools required in order to continue to boost the development of mini basketball in their respective countries.

Mr Pemberton is currently attached to the Ministry of Sports as a Basketball Sports Officer/Coach and from time to time volunteers his services as a coach to SKNABA.
